A Note from our CGSC President:

I am excited to serve as your Coast Guard Spouses' Club president for 2017-2018. I am passionate about connecting Coast Guard spouses and having a strong, supportive club that is warm and welcoming. This year, we continue our theme of Join, Connect and Support.

We are a welcoming, inclusive club to all Coast Guard spouses. If you are not a member, please join! Invite a spouse you know to join the Club. I have met Coast Guard spouses who have been Coast Guard spouses for a long time, and are not aware of our club. Some may know the club exists, but aren’t part of the club. Coast Guard spouses, we are here! This is a great club to join.

I encourage you to connect within the club by getting involved. Attend a monthly meeting or club eventAttend a zip code connection gathering in your area and in your area of interest. Zip code groups meet all around the DC area, so you are sure to find an event of interest or one near you. Stay informed –read your monthly newsletter each month because this is where you will learn about news and information about your club. Join and connect on our Facebook page by sending us an email

Here, you can find support and be a support to others. Members will find support through fun and friendship with others who share this Coast Guard experience. Here, you are welcome, will find a sense of community and connection. Members, if you know someone in the club who has had a baby, is sick, having surgery, or maybe has lost someone, please let us know so we can reach out and be a support to that person.

We have many opportunities for you to be a support. Opportunities include:

  •  Chairing or serving on a committee
  •  Making a meal for Fisher House
  •  Helping with the Holiday project
  •  Being a supportive presence to new Coast Guard spouses or new club members
  •  Donating to our scholarship fund.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve. It is going to be a great year!
